So what's happening right now

Right now I'm 38 weeks pregnant and it doesn't seem like this little girl is ready to come yet. I guess that's a good thing because I'm still trying to figure out what to put on the walls in her room (even tho we will only be in the apartment until the end of Nov.) and she still needs to grow. I have to finish packing my hospital bag, go grocery shopping for easy meals that my husband can make (pizza and pasta are his specialties), and clean the apartment.

We met with a couple of mortgage loan officers to get pre-qualified for a loan. Didn't realize there was so much that goes into factoring what a person can afford. We have some thinking to do and saving to do if we want to be out of this apartment by the end of November.

Thought I would express myself

Hey all, this is my first time blogging so I figured my first post should be about why I wanted to start and a little about my life. First off I'm Jasmine, I'm married, and I have a little girl on the way.

To start off, I grew up in St. Louis, graduated high school in 2007, went off to Mizzou, met the love of my life, got engaged, graduated in 2011, moved back to my home town...

Back in December of 2011 my then Fiance and I moved into our first apartment together. It was our first step into adulthood and being on our own. No more living apart, no more parent rules, more time together, and more responsibility. After moving in together we had to kick it into high gear because we were 5 months away from the second step into adulthood... our wedding.

We had to find a reception location, pick out our music, pick out the food, pick out flowers and decorations, find a photographer, find an officiant, pick suits, etc. So much needed to be done and we barely had any time to decorate our place or even think about anything else. (Our wedding website: Jasmineandjames.weebly.com)

January rolls around and guess what WE'RE PREGNANT(I'm pregnant! It was not something we expected to happen for at least a couple of years in the future or at least until after the wedding. Now I'm trying to plan a wedding and I'm thinking about how in the hell are we going to raise a kid when we are just beginning. After getting started on the pregnancy stuff, I realized that first we have to get through this wedding and then I can do as much pregnancy/baby related stuff I wanted.

3 months later I married the love of my life.
These is me 5 months pregnant at our wedding.
Now the wedding stuff is out of the way, its time to get baby stuff started our third step.

We signed up for classes, picked out a name (we already had a list of the names we liked),  bought books, and read hundreds of things online about pregnancy and babies. Then we realized there is no way we can live in this apartment once our little girl comes. So we decided we might as well take another step (fourth) and purchase our first house.

So to recap: Step 1-move in together, step 2- get married, step 3- have a baby, and step 4- buy a house.

The reason for this blog is express my thoughts about being married, being a first time mom, buying our first home, and everything else I find myself getting into.
